Today was a special day for volunteers, family and friends as we celebrated and remembered the life of Randy Ralph, who passed away in December 2018.

Randy was a volunteer for Reach & Restore who had a gentle, sweet and giving heart.  He often steamed our clothing donations, recycled our metal waste and used his welding skills to design and fabricate clothing racks and a mattress cart for us to use. Randy was a simple, humble man and we enjoyed having his company and are thankful to have known him.  We are comforted to know he is in heaven!

If you would like Randy’s meatloaf recipe, stop in for a copy!

We’ve had many beautiful moments lately as we followed up with our referrals.

“You called at the right time.” ” I needed that today.” “Thank you for calling me.”

It is out of the ordinary these days for random calls to be about caring instead of taking.  What a joy to know it can make such an impact!

We have been getting calls about a story online which says we are losing our lease. This is an OLD article which was true about 6 years ago. Thankfully we were forced to move at that time, because that building we were in was recently flattened in preparation for the light rail project!

It is such a great reminder that God is in control even when we don’t know the reason why something is happening at the time. We have to trust.

We continue to have requests for warm adult size coats. If you have a spare you don’t use, we’d love to pass it along to someone who needs it.

Other current needs: can openers, measuring cups and spoons, drink glasses and cups, mixing spoons, turners, hand mixers, toasters, coffee makers, gallon and quart zip lock bags, large handle or white garbage bags, full and queen sheets and blankets, men’s belts, plus size clothing

Thank you for your support and care for others!  We love our crew!
