Greetings!

Needs are big out there. I heard that there were 143 calls for Christmas help after the local program had its’ cut off date for toy help. We’ve talked to parents who are in tears this year because they have been unemployed and can’t give anything to their kids for Christmas.

We want to thank a group at Xcel Energy and Mohagen Hansen Architectural Group for adopting some of our R&R families for the holidays. Deliveries are being made and it is a joy to see the blessings take place! We are still praying for financial support to move ahead with the clothing closet/space expansion.

Our first official newsletter went out this week. Please let us know if you did not receive one and would like one mailed to you. As the Christmas Season is well under way, added activities and obligations mount.

Many talk of their pressure to get it all done and are to the point where they are looking forward to having it over. As I ponder this reality it saddens me. I pray that we can intentionally stop and be “still and know He is God”. Then CELEBRATE HIM intentionally for what He IS and came here for.

Merry Christmas!   Ronda Oliver – Director

On behalf of the R&R Board, we want to extend a special thank you to the Minnetonka Edina Realty team and its clients for their support of Reach & Restore, Inc. sponsoring us on their Community Service Day.

There was a lot of participation and many of the items that were collected and delivered to our Service Station are soon to be passed on to families in need around us.  We hope to continue this connection and appreciate all the legwork that was done on behalf of R&R!

Also, a huge thanks go out there to all who came to our Garage Sale to support R&R. The funds raised will be important as we continue to work on and raise support for the future R&R clothing closet.

Yesterday at the garage sale, a guest was told briefly what the sale was supporting and said, “that’s how the world should work”.   It was very encouraging to hear!

We’ve had some teens helping us sort the clothing by size and type this week. What a blessing!

We also met a woman who is interested in teaming up with another to oversee the clothing ministry!

Please continue to pray for more volunteer/church connections, a space for the clothing closet to launch and the Lord’s strength to press on. It seems every day there is a surprise for us! We are getting more referrals and lives are being touched with God’s provisions.  Thank you for your involvement!

” I just wanted to call and thank you again for all of the things you brought to us yesterday. We are comfortable and my kids said they slept really good last night in their beds.”

“Will you pray for me?”

“I’ve never had a microwave!”

“I want to tell others how He’s changed my life. You are a blessing. When someone gives to me I want to give back. Maybe I can help someone in return.”

“Reach & Restore was on my heart last week and I want to give to the ministry”.

“I would much rather give to Reach & Restore knowing it’s going to someone who needs it”.

“I couldn’t believe we walked in her apartment and the only thing in it was herself. It was a great experience bringing her …even just something to sit on!”

These are all quotes from the past few days.  God will use us when we are open and willing to be used.

The clothing closet project is still in planning stages. Please pray that we can gather the financial support  needed to expand in our current space for this.  If you would like to visit to get a tour please call 952-933-1393.

Volunteers are also needed to do home visits-we call them Life Preservers.  Training will be provided.

God is good!  Stay tuned for new ways that you can support this ministry.
