July 2024

It’s a blessing to see the outside of the building with fresh paint! We look forward to seeing what happens with the landscaping. It’s been a long time since it has been attended to out there.

This reminds me of what we see as it relates to people coming here. Many of them haven’t had attention for a long time and it shows! What a joy to see the difference in people when they are given value, feel loved and attended to!

Yesterday, a woman called us in tears. She hadn’t been sleeping well and fell asleep in the morning, missing her appointment with us. Her need for household items was urgent as she and her teen just moved into a place. We were able to have her come over during the afternoon and had a special time learning about her situation and needs. The woman left in awe with the donated items that she was so stressed about not being able to provide for her child.

A prayer was requested, and tears welled up in her eyes. “Can I give you a hug?” she responded with gratefulness.

Join with us and celebrate the mission of restoration. We all need God’s love that brings the refresh!

June 2024

DUE TO THE BUILDING PAINTED, we apologize for any inconvenience while in the parking lot for the next few weeks! We were told that our power will be off On June 14th so we will not be here after 11am that day. June 17, we should be back and running as normal, from 9-3. If you have questions, please call or email us.

As far as clothing needs, we are only able to take in certain sizes until we are able to inspect the items that have recently come in. We do need women summer socks, boy socks, underwear for women, girls and boys, men small and medium underwear. T shirts, shorts, tennis shoes and summer shoes are also helpful. Baby clothing is plentiful at the moment which is great.

If you have a passion for sewing or crocheting and love people, there is a volunteer opportunity to make a difference here with that joy. Please call or email us if you are interested or have another idea to share. THANKS

We appreciate our crew and supporters!

April 2024

So far this week, we’ve assisted our referred people in many situations… one family was vacating their home from a rodent infestation caused by poor home repairs and has to move and start over, a woman was leaving a domestic and finding shelter, a child sleeping on the floor, a parent without a car seat, a man who just got laid off, a woman who ran out of pads, a family new to the states needing clothing, a homeless man recently housed lacking items and others asking for prayer. These connections have impact beyond the tangible. Although we can’t promise we can assist with every need, we aim to care, listen, respect, encourage and speak truth of their value while at Reach & Restore.

MANY THANKS to everyone who has cheered on our mission and vision! The transition into our extra room has been a bit slower than expected with projects dependent certain people or things, but we are enjoying the changes as they unfold. We appreciate prayers and how we see God working each day. It is a blessing to be a conduit of hope to our community and Reach & Restore volunteers are beautiful people!

When we get multiple donation drop offs in a short period of time, we might have to halt incoming items to catch up with our sorting. It takes time and people to process. We love when Incoming donation bags are labeled with gender and size as they save us time and we can evaluate what is needed.

We really appreciate the shout outs online for donating items to Reach & Restore! Please contact us for guidelines.

If you have furniture items, we’ll need to ask some questions and see photos before accepting. After approval, a time will be set up for drop off at Reach & Restore. Please call with any questions.

Currently, we need PLUS SIZE Men clothing really bad. (Big shoe sizes and 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) Spring coats, Tennis shoes, T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Athletic shorts, Pajamas and Jeans for all men as well.

Happy Spring!
