April 2026

The buds on the trees and bright grass remind us of new life! This is refreshing to see, and for our clients, this is how they feel when departing from Reach & Restore.

We have met and helped a handful of folks who are homeless in the area this past week. By sharing words of truth, encouragement, connections and basic necessities from your donations, we have seen the difference it makes every time. Starting over is hard work!

A client was just finishing her clothing appointment and said that Friday was her 65th birthday. Knowing she was alone, she sure felt loved when receiving a birthday cake that was donated, ready for sharing! Her face lit up and she felt valued. Everyone needs to be celebrated right where they are at.

On my way here today I heard a wonderful reminder. Are we living for the blessings or for the BLESSER who gives us life at no cost to us? All good things come from above (James 1:17) and serving is a way to be thankful! God is SO good. We appreciate your prayers!

We are open 9-3, M-F. Our clients are referred to us from local agencies, schools, etc. and we are all volunteers.

THANK YOU for your support! 952-933-1393

February 9, 2026

Today is Monday.

The day of the week Dan walked in to volunteer his time at Reach & Restore to connect with our clients over the phone. He did it with a caring, tender heart and even developed friendships with the clients over the years. Whether it was a reminder of an appointment or a requested prayer, Dan was a faithful example of mercy, kindness and humility. His life was full of stories how God was visible in his life and others. I will miss hearing the stories but am so thankful Dan wrote some of them down in a book!

With sorrow and joy, I write in memory of our dear Dan who passed away yesterday after his battle with cancer. He is free of pain. He is free of worry. He is with his Creator forever as promised! Dan had many friends and family that will miss him here. At his 85th birthday party in January, I told him how wonderful the people in his life are and he said, “God is Good”. Prayers for his family are appreciated.

December 2025

Tis the season to remember the greatest gift that arrived in the most humbling way for all. Enjoy the celebration!

It is busy at Reach & Restore as the weather naturally adds more needed items for clients. Warm winter gear is “hot” so boots and footwear that can be used outside for walking is desired. Sweats, sweatshirts, thermal underwear, pajamas, slippers, snowpants, gloves, robes and thick socks are often requested. Jeans are an important item for all too.

Thrift store pricing has gone up and is not affordable for limited income folks. Your donations are given at no charge to our referred guests and are blessing our community!

We are excited to serve in 2026 but need a few more people to fill specific volunteer roles. We are all volunteers. Contact us for more information.

If you would like to receive our end the year newsletter, please email us through our contact us page. We thank you for supporting R&R with your financial and material donations and prayers!
