Everyone is looking for warm coats and clothing now as the leaves drift across the landscape! Our specific needs change as things go in and out so here is the latest list of items that we need… THANK YOU for your prayers and support. We see and hear many stories of appreciation from our referred friends who feel love and care at Reach & Restore! God is good and there is always something to be thankful for!

It’s hard to say no but…

It’s a blessing to let you know we won’t be able to accept clothing donations right now unless they are the specific items listed below until our inventory goes down. Check back here or call us with questions. We appreciate all of the generosity and support for our community! Before we know it the fall clothing will be eased onto the racks.

Clothing items we will accept during this time:

men athletic /elastic waist shorts, men jeans, men sandals, tennis shoes/walking shoes, (sizes 11,12,13 for sure) Also, 4x and 5x and tall clothing sizes for men are occasionally requested.

kids tennis shoes and athletic shorts, elementary and teen back to school clothes, girls 14-16 underwear

Yesterday a woman was given a walker with a seat. She had been waiting for a replacement for a while. It just happened be her birthday! We made sure it was decked out with a bow and came with a cake and candles! It is so much fun to give.

God is so good, and loves to provide!

Guess what we need… FANS and ACs for our referrals! We started a list of referral requests. There are many people who live in upper floor apartments who have health conditions and no air conditioners or fans! Please call us if you have something to meet one of these needs. We do require that they be clean, newer than 10 years old and fully functioning. Dimensions are helpful too.

A few delivery helpers are also needed. Lifting is part of the volunteer opportunity.

Other needs include: queen sheet sets and lighter weight queen size blankets, men’s summer shoes and tennis shoes, size 12 and up mens shoes, toothbrushes, small kitchen appliances (blender, toaster, microwave, indoor grill) and mixing bowls, cookie sheets, measuring cups/spoons, large plastic drinking cups, ice cube trays, large mixing spoons, turners and ice cream scoops =).

We are blessed to be able to help others and are encouraged each day by a thankful guest! There was a man who only had one pair of shoes and we didn’t have his size. He was pretty bummed. Then one of our volunteers came in at the end of his appointment with a donation of shoes, not knowing anything about the need, and had 3 pairs of the exact shoe size he needed! He left on cloud nine. We all agreed that God provided and cares so much for us. His timing is perfect. A faith builder for all.
